Today’s blog is extra special… not only is this a power couple since forever, but the bride MADE her own wedding dress! Since it’s Friday, I would like to flash back to April and Erik’s beautiful elopement ceremony in Oceanside the end of last year. Covid was still going strong, but they held through and made it official with close friends and family. April is a talented fashion YouTuber and is famous for transforming thrifty clothes into beautiful modern wear! It was no surprise she decided to design and make her own wedding dress from scratch!

Also.. this took me by surprise, but while snooping around her YouTube videos, I also found one where she and Erik did reaction video to their pictures…!! I never get to see my client’s reactions so my heart just completely melted <3 They’re so sweet and fun to watch so I can see how they made it so far together. You can check it out HERE

So here are some highlights of the day. It was a HOTTT day that burned into a beautiful sunset. They told me the day after was overcast so we got really lucky! I could not get over how beautiful April looked in her dress. The gold sequence and lit her up and it was also super airy and elegant on the beach. This girl is so talented and going to many places. Her chemistry with Erik was undeniable. We shot all over the beach, climbed rocks, and even got into the water! Congrats April & Erik, and I can’t wait for the bigger official wedding coming up the end of this year!!
