Gay Pride month is coming to an end so I want to share one of my favorite Gay Weddings! The groom, Louis, is actually a friend of mine from high school and I’m soooo happy he came out since and filled his life with all the love he deserves. I was on the edge of tears throughout his vows with Michael. The two just compliment each other perfectly. Not to mention, their wedding was so much fun to photograph, from the Hyatt Hilton Bay Front Hotel to the New Children’s Museum. I also photographed Louis’ sister’s wedding years ago at a Museum (SD Museum of Photographic Arts) so it only seemed fitting 🙂 Everything from their detail decor to romance was on point!
Sometimes I get emails for couples asking if I’m comfortable photographing gay weddings. I always get taken back by the question because if anything, I admire anyone who’s brave enough to stand up for what they love and embrace who they are. Love is love and the world can always use more of it! Or like Louis’ and Michael’s wedding signage, just “Live a little!”
