When there are too many awesome places in one of the greatest cities in the world, we had to do it all! It was a sunny day (the sun from San Diego tends to follow me) so we had to started off with an angle of the clear skyline, Potrero Hill. I just love the layers of buildings. This thriving city just gets more and more compact!
SF is also known for its funky beautiful victorian architecture and we decided to capture that at Alamo Square (famous for the “Full House” opening scene). Of course, it was super touristy (even on a weekday), but I was able to find higher grounds for their shots.
Next up, Angela & Derrick really wanted to go back to Lowell High School where they first dated, yes we have another rare pair of high school sweet hearts! It was really sentimental retracing their footsteps where they asked each other out for prom or hung out at the lockers.
As the sun got lower and lighting softer, I needed more greens so we stopped by Stow lake at Golden Gate Park. The interesting thing about SF is its higher level of humidity, especially in the parks. The combination of mist in the air with sun rays gave me one of my favorite things to photograph, volumetric lighting! Contrast that with an everlasting love and we have magic.
Lastly, we hadddd to finish off with the Golden Gate Bridge somewhere. There are so many places to photograph this icon bridge and I decided Presidio Park’s perspective would make for some fun composition! And that’s a wrap… thank you Angela and Derrick for letting me third wheel with you on the SF engagement tour 🙂
Shout out to my girl Celia from Big Day Service ! I can’t wait to work with her again on Angela & Derrick’s wedding because she is an absolute amazing coordinator who can plan and execute with precision!
