On my visit to Diana & Jason’s home in Fresno, I fell in love with their cute homey lifestyle. Their love is simple and beautiful. They just enjoy coming home to each other’s company, having a cup of tea, and cuddling in front of the TV with their beloved pets until they fall asleep. Jobs drove them into a long distant stretch and now they’re happily living together, engaged. Their sweet enduring relationship inspired me. They’re are a very modest and hippy couple, enjoying a more simple approach in life… walking the dog, watching over wild cats, meditating, biking to the store, holding hands, and giving tulips. After 6 years, they still get butterflies around each other! I wanted to show how their love in a small town home setting glows. As I was looking at their cool hippy things around their house and jungly yard, I thought “Why not do a backyard engagement!?” Diana and Jason were on board! It was so much fun designing a setting that represented this milestone in their journey. And there was no better place to shoot it, than their own home in the Valley (after we pulled out the weeds) =)
Congrats Jason and Diana, I love you guys!!
There’s no place like home.
When I first saw this yard, it looked like a jungle of weeds and trees. We pulled them all out for this cozy set up!
Pan is their wild pet cat, always roaming around the house and hunting. And isn’t this Vintage TV a treasure? Jason found it at a dump and took it home. I fell in love with it and thought it was just perfect. So we cleaned it, fix the 3rd leg and wallaaah! On top, that 1970’s radio was a gift from a hippy when Jason gave him avocados and a ride during a spiritual sabbatical. The radio works like a charm and they turn it on for their pets every time they leave the house.
Bobby’s on TV!
Jason gave her Tulips for the past 6 years.
Bobby’s their baby. He loves cuddling and making Jason Jelly.
The living room
They’re super philosophical and peaceful beings.
That morning light is gorgeous!!
Love these moments before kisses.
Thanks for tuning in!
Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous! the amount of time that you must’ve put in to set up the scene and the incorporation of the animals! You can really feel the love inbetween them and better yet, the subject is your sister! I’m really happy with this photoshoot and I hope that when I get engaged I can get something just as gorgeous <3 Great job jenny!
Thank you for the kind words Jessie! They’re the inspiration haha. Let me know when you’re ready =)
